Not at all! My good friend has hair like that and it looks lovely and professional. I'd keep mine long if I could but alas, fine hair for me.

Okay. Then you (or OP) should post a description of what styles you can do, and people will weigh in. Is it anything other than straight and down over your shoulders/trunk, or curled and down over your shoulders/trunk? Is that it?

I'm not clear on the point of the thread, OP. Are you looking for honest answers, or is having people respond that they find it distracting, unattractive, or otherwise unprofessional not acceptable to you?

Just my opinion, but a couple inches or so below shoulder length is a good “long” length for the office. You can wear it down, pull it back, wear it half back and do all the things you can do with long hair, but it’s not getting into your chest, which I tend to agree is a few inches too long. Others may have different views.

Who is another celeb I can use as a model for a stylist?
What do you think re: color? My hair is a bit like Jen Aniston’s color, but I haven’t had it highlighted since covid.
Just cut off 4-5” and add layers.

Me too! Here is my thinning hair which tends to grow little baby hairs along my hairline which stick straight up no matter how much I style it. Coming back from a meeting and finding that you had a little bit sticking straight up in the air like Alfalfa -- now that looks unprofessional.
Thick well-cared for hair is professional.
