How is the ID session different than a tryout? Do they typically email after a session to express interest?

Sounds like people are wising up. No need for 11 year olds to be in a showcase league...especially one that has been limited in their ability to hold showcases.

I tend to agree with this but don't know about rocked. There is a pent up demand for roster change and turnover with essentially no tryouts in 2020. My DD's team is seeing a significant number of girls showing up at practices over the past couple weeks. With tryouts coming up, expectations for a serious infusion of talent which leads to changes, etc. You'll see this a lot amongst 2009 and 2010 age groups as boys and girls position for ECNL/GA roster spots.

Coach told us they will be sending an offer my ds’s way. I’m relieved. He trained his tail off for a a year to finally make MLS next. The higher he goes the more money I pay smh
Tell me about it. I paid the coach 3 G's under the table to take my son. Now I have to pay club dues on top of that. Not looking forward to U11 next year.

Nah - you didn't get ripped off - your kid was just a bigger stretch for the coach so you had to pay more.

Not unheard of. If you want your son to improve, they gotta train with someone during the off-season. Why not make it the coach.
