These guys are AWESOME! We have used them for 3 different moves—apartment to house, house to different house and moving in-laws in with us/moving their stuff to storage. Joe and his entire team have a culture of excellence. They were so careful with our fragile (and often heavy bc we have a lot of solid wood) pieces and didn’t rush or cut corners. Joe is very responsive and was super helpful in talking through potential concerns or issues (like noticing in advance that a large dresser may not fit up our spiral staircase) and helping us to brainstorm solutions.

One more vote for Bookstore Movers. It’s been a few years, but they were great: very professional, no stress. They even made suggestions re: furniture placement.

Have used both Bookstore and Town and Country and had great experiences. Most recently we used Town and Country to pack and move and we were impressed that they finished more quickly and used less boxes than anticipated. As a result, we ended up paying about 19% under their initial quote!

Town and Country was fabulous and very reasonable. We’ve used them 2x.

PP here - they are super reasonably priced. Our last move (local DC) we were quoted $5000 from JK movers and $2000 from Bookstore. Insane.

How big was your house? We’re about to move from our 2400 sf, 4 BR house.

It was a 2700 sq ft, 4 BR. This was a couple years ago.

Another vote for Bookstore movers. Super pro move last fall amidst the pandemic and super pro move a few years ago too.

Wheaton. We've done two long distance moves with them. Both went very well.
