That is a terrible hotel and in no way more family friendly than Four Seasons.
NP. What's wrong with the Hyatt? I just booked it for a weekend later this year. The online reviews are good.
It’s loud, terrible slow service all around. Some of the rooms aren’t great. If there is any type of event the elevators are a nightmare.

I recommend Canopy or 4S. I have a soft spot for the Kimpton Hotel Monaco but it’s kinda in a rough spot with no parking right there, better for a couple rather than people with little kids.

Yes, I’m familiar with Hunt Valley, which is why I’m baffled at this suggestion. OP is looking for a fun weekend in the city at a hotel with a pool...not hanging out at the Wegman’s off Shawan Rd.

Four Seasons. I've been to both, and Pendry is very trendy with a younger crowd. We had a room facing the inner outdoor courtyard (which was lovely!) and people were drunk and laughing and coming back from the bars all night.

Same here, they left little touches in the room for the kids. It's within walking distance to the aquarium. We would definitely go back.

I live in Baltimore, have kids and am completely baffled by this suggestion as well.
OP - stay downtown at the Four Seasons and enjoy the waterfront views.

I live in Baltimore and work at Hopkins. I wouldn't stay on the waterfront unless you are also going to try and hit up the aquarium/port discovery. If you want a relaxing, pool, chill vibe - stay at one of the hotels in Hunt Valley. It's not a far drive from Hopkins (unless you hit horrific traffic) and its clean, less crime, and has a wegmans.

Yeah I would say it probably depends on time of day (assuming jumping in the pool is allowed)
My guess is that the only people that would really complain are the residents and they have their own pool.
