Grocery store bakery items are gross. Always. A bunch of hydrogenated oils and corn syrups

Pastries and sweets made with chemicals and palm oil. Yummy!

+1! Why do saps think Costco-made food is good? READ THE LABELS! I never see butter listed, it's always dirt cheap chemicals and weird oils. Might as well go buy Walmart and McDonald's food for your family.

The chocolate chocolate chip muffins are amazing. I don’t really like anything else though.

It’s the go to celebration cake in our house. There was a drastic drop in quality about 2 years ago but I think that was quickly resolved (don’t mess with success). We haven’t had one since 2019 but plan to get one when I’m 2 weeks after 2nd vaccine. Celebration.

Really? I don’t think they carry it anymore, but the one time I tasted their chocolate cake, I thought it was worth every calorie.
Admittedly, though, I might agree with you if I’d had an actual calorie count. That cake was seriously delicious.

They used to have a great red velvet cake, but it was discontinued. It was hands down the best dessert I'd had from costco.

Yes, agreed. I still look for it sometimes, but of course, its never there.

BUT, you need to take a really, really thin slice to enjoy it. It is very rich and somewhat sweet. A lot goes a long way. Very satisfying with dark coffee.

OP here repotting back,
After trying the cake PP advice is on point.

Yuck. Looks so good but it was a big miss, even for my sweet loving family.
