It’s no frills and you need to analyze the real cost after including desired add-one. That said, I have flown them several times when they offered the best price. Each trip was completely uneventful.

Being a total dork, it’s also fun to see which animal is on the side of the plane. My last flight was on the plane with a duck on it.

If you are tall or have very wide hips, you will not be comfortable

This would be my biggest concern as well- they are a pretty big carrier now, but still nowhere near as big as United or Southwest (your other choices to fly nonstop to Denver), so if something goes wrong, much less likely that they can shift their planes around in their system to make a delay reasonable. On the return out of Denver, they have a much bigger operation, so more slack in that system.

Frontier once had equipment problems that caused the three of us to be in the Denver airport for something like 14 hours.

For our troubles, they did compensate us with enough vouchers to fully cover three round trip tickets from DC to Tampa.

I’ve never flown them due to all the bad reviews. I’m mostly worried that they are not helpful in the event of a delay/cancellation. They basically left our friends stranded.
