It's ... just not that time-consuming. I'm in-person and got a spot back in February when the process was a total cluster, as did many of my colleagues.
You go t a spot because DCPS helped you. There were designated sites for teachers. Term 4 is different and everyone is on their own. Nice try though.

I would love to know what school you are at where no teachers are in the building. Almost every single teacher at my child’s WOTP school is back in the building Term 3.
West of the park is in a bubble. At our elem EoTP, there is one class of PK 3/4, K, CAREs in 1st, grade, 1 CARES class for 4th and 5th. Out of 460 students only 75 are in person. Mainly due to lack of teachers "willing" to come back-which is why its all CARES in 3,4 5th grades. We do have space to expand. A lot of space actually. Just no teachers.
At the ES level, perhaps. At the MS and HS level, not. But those kids seem to be lower priority so I am not surprised you don’t know this.
Settle down ward 3 defender. Across the city, most MS and HS kids are barely getting even 8 hours a week of in person learning. Why do you think juvenile crime is spiking 200% over previous years. They need to be IN SCHOOL. And too many teachers are still opting out.

Lies.

I'm not defending that agreement; just passing on the information.
God help us if the Mayor loses control of the school. Bowser has screwed up a bunch but imagine how much worse this would be with a school board conspiring with the WTU. DCPS would be the last district in the country to reopen!

We’re also told they don’t want to switch kids to another teacher (makes sense) and some kids will still stay at home. Sounds like a nightmare logistics problem.
It actually isn't that hard. Many schools around the country have been doing it all year, so maybe reach out to an experienced colleague if your are stumped.
