That’s really sad. There’s so much sadness in Biden’s life. Trump had all this awful corruption and Biden scandals are just SAD.

It’s illegal to do what was done and if the Secret Service tried to cover the incident up?

These are adults. Everyone has sad things in their lives. That doesn’t mean you can throw guns in trash cans and abuse your privilege and lie about it and hide behind sadness.

No denying that, Hunter Biden seems like a major screw up. It doesn’t really have much to do with the President as far as I can tell.

But, we don't know that as fact.

Anonymous wrote:“But a curious thing happened at the time: Secret Service agents approached the owner of the store where Hunter bought the gun and asked to take the paperwork involving the sale, according to two people, one of whom has firsthand knowledge of the episode and the other was briefed by a Secret Service agent after the fact.
The gun store owner refused to supply the paperwork, suspecting that the Secret Service officers wanted to hide Hunter’s ownership of the missing gun in case it were to be involved in a crime, the two people said. The owner, Ron Palmieri, later turned over the papers to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, which oversees federal gun laws.

The Secret Service says it has no record of its agents investigating the incident, and Joe Biden, who was not under protection at the time, said through a spokesperson he has no knowledge of any Secret Service involvement.“

Super wow.

This is the super made up sounding part.

Again, how is the SS involved here? Sounds like the wife was worried he would hurt himself and scared about contacting law enforcement or seeking other help. No wonder, given who was running the country at the time. Sad. Is she the one who called the authorities in the end when she discovered the gun missing? Seems like she was trying to do the right thing and mad a mistake.

Wondering if any reporter will ask Joe about this, or any of the other scandals surrounding Hunter at Joe's first press conference today.

Why on earth is Biden supposed to answer for this? Go ask Hunter FFS! When you're at a board meeting do you expect someone to ask for a report on why your kid got suspended form high school?

Let's see.....

Biden, when asked about Hunter's business dealings in Ukraine and Russia, previously has said he doesn't talk to his son about business and knew nothing.
That was a lie, as evidence that has come to light proves.

Secret Service was involved... Why? Does Biden know anything about this? His spokesperson says he doesn't, but we can't trust his statement. How did the SS know about this and who sent them?

You know damn well that if Don Jr. or Eric Trump had this story written about them when their dad was president, Trump would have been asked about it... in fact, it would probably be the first question.

+1 and headlines on every news outlet, online and on tv.

DP. I've got no problem with investigating whether the Secret Service did anything wrong here, but it is pretty different when your dad is actively in charge of the Secret Service vs a former vice president/private citizen at the time.

So the Secret Service got involved how?

I don't know, which is why an investigation would be reasonable, but "they were ordered to by the president" isn't a likely option like it would be if it had been Eric Trump in 2018, which is why those hypothetical accusations would be more serious.

If I sent my security to deal with the aftermath of my child’s illegal activities and then didn’t disclose it? Also, Hunter is way past high school. He’s an adult.

What illegal activity? His daughter-in-law disposed of a gun incorrectly?

Did you miss the part where he lied on the gun application about his drug usage?

Did you miss the entire point of the news story? That the Secret Service tried to cover this incident up?

If you don’t see a problem here, please don’t say another word about gun nutters, Trump’s kids, or government “cover ups” because you are nothing more than a partisan hack of the worst form.

Anonymous wrote:Very strange story. Not sure whether anybody did anything wrong here. Hallie appears to have been worried about Hunter's frame of mind, and took appropriate actions. I do not see Hunter as having done anything wrong. Even the permit application was fine, assuming that Hunter was not then a user or addict. SS's involvement was not really confirmed.

Throwing a gun in a trash can by a grocery store by a school is appropriate actions?

Nice to know Mrs. El Chapo can use the internet from jail.

Maybe we should pass some gun control legislation that will determine the appropriateness of that.

Pretty sure we already have laws against everything that occurred. The rub is, as always: Will they be enforced?

Probably not.
