My DC graduated in August and had a similar feeling. COVID cancelled her summer internship last year (and many job opportunities in her field, at least for now).

She has a job that pays for her rent and car, but no luck so far on the "real job" front, so she does feel like she is in limbo. Many of her friends are in the same boat. Grad school may be on the horizon.

I felt that way when dd graduated. It is a sad + scary time. Also, your child was robbed of fun/young time during pandemic they will never get back. Good luck to your child! Try to arrange for some fun when Covid ends
