I would have said no. Not because of our kid/s but because even though we know the other kids, they still aren't ours and they don't answer to us. If the 6 year old weren't there then that would be different. The presence of the little kid makes all the difference to me.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. But I was a kid who seemed "good" but had parties whenever my parents were out of town.
But - COVID? what's up with having friends over during this time? Are they in a pod? Will they wear masks? What's the plan if you say "yes"?

I have 1 son who would clearly have a party/drink alcoholic
I gave 1 son who would never and could have 2 friends over would make sundaes and watch movies.
So it depends.
Also my kids go to houses with “parents out of town” and I’m always forewarned.
