Amazing, 4 youth responsible for 8 carjacking and 13 robberies in a couple of days in January were arrested.
All four are DC residents:
Jeremiah Cox, 18 (17 at time of crime)
Elijah Day-Quan Greene-Parker, 18 (Daycare worker)
Antonio Daylos Myles, 21
Rashaun Onley, 21.
Police are crediting the recently implemented carjacking task force. Apparently if you assign detectives to carjackings and actually investigate them, they are solvable.

These are grown adult men. A 21 year old isn’t a youth by any description.
Have you spent any time with 21 year old boys? I have 2. They are youth.
21 year old boys? Come on, that’s ridiculous, and also probably part of the problem. In no world should a 21 year old be treated like a boy, and if you are you are failing them as a parent.

Apparently he lost his daycare job due to the pandemic.
Should have kept DC open.
Maybe instead of shutting down daycares during Covid, we should have let them operate safely.
Surely that would have prevented these carjackings.

Mom of a HS student here. Remember how Brock Turner (then 19) was given a slap on the wrist for assaulting an unconscious classmate bz the judge was concerned about his future? If you think loosely of the accused as being college kid-aged, then yes, they are all youths. I was, for the record, appalled by Turner's behavior & also think armed carjacking is appalling. Doesn't make me think those are not youths.
