I would check policy but our school will still let hybrid kids attend virtually. I feel like things are changing fast and while he may not like how things look today, next month or May could be better and he would want to be back. I would just quietly let him choose to attend virtually but try to hold that coveted spot if he wants to go back.

Why not just send the teacher a quick email?

She has 7. She’s a senior. She can tell them herself. I stopped checking in on her work in MS.

Or the guidance counselor? She might need a little coaching on being considerate to others.

Bwahahahah. The guidance counselor? I’m sure they’ll get fight on that. By June.

92 days left in APS. 92.

Ok. Guess she won’t get that coaching from you.

Oh she’s been taught consideration. We are considerate to most people. APS lost that considering YEARS ago so no I will not be extending them any gratitude at this point. They have a problem they can find me.

Which HS? If it’s WL they provided an email address to contact if a student wishes to do that. If it’s not WL I would just call the school office and tell them what you are trying to do. Plenty of families I know are switching back since it’s not exactly what they wanted.

ok, we had a chat and he is going to try it again tomorrow. Hopefully better weather will help.

DP. I'm glad he's trying it again. It truly may not be the right fit for him (in which case I would just email his guidance counselor to ask about how to switch if the school hasn't told you how to do it). My kid found it really overwhelming the first couple of days back in the building because they weren't used to being under the same roof with so many people. But as they get used to it, they're feeling more comfortable.
