There is a learning curve. But once you get the hang of it, it can be so good.
I like a doing a thick but not dark wing of the brown or aubergine shade, then go over it with a thin line of Stila black pen liner. So good.

On a whim, I bought Maybeline Tattoo Studio liquid liner and was so surprised...it stays on without smudging, but it always comes off easily. It's less than $10.
