Small increase in pay? For 2021 pay is 132k-199k. Plus 20k in bonuses or so (I think bonuses can go up to 50k, but not sure).

In DC a GS15 is 144-172k

It's credit hours that SESes can't get. As a maxed out GS-15, I am not eligible for OT or comp time, but I can earn credit hours.

Less than GS employees, but not quite at will. But close. One needs to determine whether the small increase in pay, small increase in amount of vacation that can be carried over is worth the increase in risk that you will be shown the door.
