The woman's friend is on this forum. Don't you expect there could be someone else in their entourage who visits this forum too and thinks it sounds a lot like their bestie's boyfriend?
My friend lives across the country and has never heard of this forum, I assure you. Not everyone lives in the Beltway.
My mom lives in a non-English speaking European country and found this forum googling Washington DC and schools keywords out of concern for her DC grand-children.

This was my thought as I was reading the OP!
Whether it is actually about the OP or really a “friend”, unless ALL of the details were off someone is going to figure this out. This forum is frequented by metro LA, Boston, Chicago, and NY.... and anyone going a random search on a celebrity, college, or recipe could find this forum. There are enough details that the fiancé’s co worker could figure it out!

Take it to the grave! Nothing good will come out of disclosing it. The penance can be keeping the guilty secret to herself instead of unburdening her conscience at someone else’s expense. And I’m fact if the ex ever tries to bring it up down the road, I’d gaslight him and say it never happened. Put it behind her. Seriously.

Your friend never should have told you (and presumably others by your comments). She’ll never get to keep this a secret now because too many people know. She should have not told a sole and moved forward with her life. Now it’s going to come out the moment one of her girlfriends gets too drunk or pissed off.

Never say a word. Absolutely do not tell your fiance. It was a one-time mistake. I too thought of the scene in Mad Men. There's a poignant moment the next morning where Betty is having breakfast with her new husband as if nothing has happened (she slept with her ex Don the previous night).
