Classic is a little more serious than Rec. If your daughter is mentally mature for her age, then I recommend Classic (select soccer). On some Rec Teams at this age, you will see some girls daydreaming or picking flowers during a game. At 9 YO, all players are beginners so don’t worry.

I agree. Some travel players looks like Rec players even at 11/12 years old so don’t let the Classic or Travel Soccer name fool or intimidate you. When my DD was in Rec, I thought Travel Soccer was all that until you joined a few years ago. Don’t get me wrong, some of them are very good but the majority of them are average or below average.
