There's a discussion on our school's Facebook page right now about how you have to save the green check mark to show them at the door. BUT it will expire! So you have to screen shot it. Apparently they can look it up, but it's slow process so instead they'd just re-do the health screening.

I don't know why they didn't just use an app for this that would be easy to look up etc.
Well, if they had to look every kid up who was entering the building that would take a long long time. Having you show the screenshot is much more efficient because the onus is on you to prove it rather than them to look it up. Schools have multiple entrances for car riders, walkers, etc. Especially at the secondary level it's much quicker to have kids show the screenshot as they enter.
