I think so, but I'm not entirely sure. He liked Obama, expressed anti-Trump views, but is probably a moderate conservative.

That's not the question to ask. That's asking if the person is supportive of the Republican party. Most conservatives I know are not supportive of the party They are Madisonian conservatives and believe in fiscal responsibility, more power given to the states, less federal power, etc. Brooks is a moderate.

I have never liked him. When he published "The Road to Character" I rolled my eyes. When I found out later that he had been cheating with his researcher at the time, I was disgusted. Really, is there a bigger hypocrite in DC?

Bill Kristol still tries to make himself relevant, but good riddance his loss of a "platform." My favorite was when he spoke at an event a few years where he suggested putting poor people in camps. Then, after the event was over and he wasn't canceled yet (to my great surprise), I overheard him tell a young woman, "Sweetheart, I live in McLean, where rich people live. I know how they think." The great irony was that the young woman he was speaking to comes from an extremely well-to-do family in the area.

He was LITERALY writing a book about "honor" while cheating on his wife with his research assistant.
