Nope. She is completely biased and friends with the ventilation lady.
And I disagree with a poster up thread that there are only 3 teachers on AEM. There have been several posts in the past few days that are all about teacher issues. In fact, so many that I think it's becoming more of a teacher group? I though they had a private group of their own.
Who cares if she’s friends with ventilation lady? She doesn’t pile on to those toxic debates and seems to be supportive of schools opening.
The moderator does a good job; she walks the line carefully and is responsive to criticism.
There are FAR more than 3 teachers on AEM; most of them do not out themselves as teachers.

I vaguely know both the people referenced. I agree that the AEM moderator is even-keeled. And she is a saint to moderate that forum, a thankless, more than full time job it seems. That forum has some toxic frequent posters and I wouldn't want to post there as people seem to get beat up for expressing an opinion.
The frequent poster you refer to.. So, first I thought she was putting in time to do in-depth work which I initially respected, now I think way out of her depth and doing some "advocacy" in a way that is unnecessarily scaring some people in our community, in a way that is to kids' detriment. And I feel she is inflexible in her position and fighting back rather than accept new facts and expert guidance.
There's a ton of data from the last year that the back to school plan is safe, and I am comfortable with it. Ultimately though the SR parent is a taxpayer/APS parent too though and she has the right to make FOIA requests or advocate how she wants, and the burden is on APS to communicate effectively to the community that the back to school plan includes safe mitigation measures. But I also have my right, as an APS parent, to look askance at what she's doing.
Btw, my DH and I think some of these people are absolutely nuts!!!
I didn’t like her attitude but read what she had to say (while agreeing that she’s in over her head in interpreting complex data) until she responded a simple “tl;dr to someone. If she is going to be that obnoxiously dismissive of other people then I feel like she deserves no better. She didn’t have to respond at all- the tl;dr was pure bitchiness.
The poster to whom frequent poster (“ventilation lady”) was responding had previously written that in response to one of ventilation lady’s posts. I’m sure that’s why she did that.

Don’t people on AEM supposed to live in Arlington? I had to answer questions about where my kids went to school and where I live when I joined a long time ago. But doesn’t the removed guy live in McLean?
