Some of us don’t want more dangerous variants to develop and take hold, which they will if the only unvaccinated population is kids. That’s the way viruses work. We’re very close to being able to get a handle on things and really cut down on new strains circulating. Taking your unmasked kids out makes the situation worse for everyone.

OP is a better parent. She's not saying don't go out. She's saying mask your child. That is all

I suck because I cringe at seeing young kids without masks being exposed to a lot of people?
I am not talking necessities. We are currently on vacation. We drove and I see people out with young kids.
I also see kids in Fairfax and Arlington at the grocery store and target gnawing on shopping carts and high touch rails. It just makes me cringe. It would probably make me cringe even if we weren’t in the middle of a pandemic.
Reeks of troll. The OP, who is on vacation, is upset parents have the audacity to leave the house with young kids. Sure. You also got surface transmission paranoia in there. All the hot topics. Be less obvious next time. Or just don’t.

This.
OP, not everyone is crippled with fear every time they go out or interact with another human.
We're on the way towards normal, and there are going to be a disturbing number of people who have paralyzed themselves at the thought of touching, smiling at, hugging, or just lightly interacting with a human face to face.
Anonymous wrote:I mean very young kids exposed in large crowds. I understand it is unsafe for young children to wear a mask. I would not want my small baby or toddler exposed. I have seen so many young children touching and gnawing on high touch surfaces and parents seem not to care.
I just would want to keep my little ones safe.
Why expose them unnecessarily?
