It's not ok to move up in the line to get the vaccine so they could go back into the schools, and then choose not to.

We are talking about morality here. And teachers wonder why they have a terrible reputation for not wanting to work hard or do their job.
If they have a health condition they have every reason to get a vaccine . They’re more vulnerable. Separate your emotions and you will agree. If it was your mom who was immunocompromised due to taking say, Tamoxifen for cancer remission and not your daughters teacher, you would say get that shot. I say this as a teacher who teaches in person. These people aren’t your enemy. All American adults should be getting this shot.

Look, the more people who are vaccinated the better. This wouldn’t matter at all if we didn’t have this ridiculous priority system. People getting vaccines is good. There are enough for everyone so them taking it doesn’t take from anyone else. All adults will eventually get one.
