Following up on this, the Nottingham email that went out yesterday encouraged families to go "waste free" for their packed lunches, so definitely not following the all-disposable model OP described.

That FCPS thing is not a thing at all schools—my kid takes her lunchbox & refillable water bottle.

Alternatively, she could grab a free breakfast and/or lunch on the way into the building. (It is a cold bagged breakfast & cold bagged lunch.) Most kids will eat lunch in classrooms at our school vs cafeteria.
