Enjoyable though, esp the last two episodes. They never tied up what happened after the girlfriend wrote the cop about the murder.
Why did Adele spit out the food she was eating (dinner)?
Why did Adele run around and get the black eye? Was she trying to get heroin? Was she trying to get beat up to make David look bad?
Funny you say that! The plot seems like a total rip-off of one of my favorite Lois Duncan books -- Stranger With My Face -- from the 80s.

I thought he did and that is why he was miserable and kept feeding her antipsychotics in an attempt to fix her?

Also, I didn’t understand why the newspaper article said something like “troubled teen” survived the fire - the one the girlfriend saw when she was googling about the fire. Bc at the end we realized that Adele was perfectly normal until she met Rob. So why would the article have referred to her as a troubled teen when she was clearly supposedly a great kid?
She was a troubled teen. The show didn't get into it, but she wasn't seen as a typical teenager. Many people thought she started the fire, not just that she was unable to alert her parents.
Ok - why did she spit out the food?
I can't quite remember. I believe she thought it was drugged. There was more emphasis in the book about David keeping her drugged all the time.
Yes, she was trying to get heroin, because of who she was (trying not to spoil).
She's the one who made the meal.
