Not exactly the same, but I don't like rhyming names.

So, if your last name ends in -er or -or, no kid names that end in -r. (Peter Carter)

Same if your last name ends with -n or ends with the "ee" sound. (Jackson Hoffman or Katie Brody).

I also think if you have a long last name, first names should be shorter and vice versa.

So, if you give birth to a 13 year old you're safe.

Otherwise, if you're giving birth to a child who will one day be 12, in a class with 12 year olds, this isn't the greatest choice.

I had a list of first names that I liked and then married a man whose last name rhymed with several of them. So, we didn't use those.

I could be wrong, but I really don't think he knew. I wasn't laughing at his name, I just pointed it out, kind of in an - "Did that cause you a problem when you were a kid, kind of way."

Yes but there is a good chance that your child and their friends will be 12 at some point. I don't think Johnson is used as much by young people these days so I think its possible that this one might not be an issue. Lots of kids are resilient enough to not be phased by teasing over names, but sometimes in the wrong circumstance with a particularly vile bully it can be pretty rough and I think it's best to help set kids up for success wherever we can.
