OP here. I feel like my sister simultaneously tries to one-up me and also copy me at the same time. Its not like she actually compliments me or gives me credit. She is like my shadow I can't get rid of.

Credit for what? You didn't build the venue, you just wanted to rent it. Like probably thousands of other people.

If you can't afford things, no one else is allowed to have them? So everyone in your family will have a smaller house than you in a less desirable location. No one will have more kids than you could comfortably afford. All vacations will be vetted by you to ensure that they are a notch below yours in luxury level. Sounds like a plan.
