Cancel culture comes full circle!
This might be the incident that brings the discussion to a head: her male costar tweeted about ice detention camps being akin to nazi prison camps.
Admittedly, a different take than what she said. But, I’m curious how this plays out.
Is it ok when Dems do it for progressive causes?

It’s “consequence culture.” Sorry, but speech has consequences. So sad, too bad.
I agree.
But, do you realize her male costar seemingly did the same thing (comparison to nazis) without consequence?
I think this will force a conversation.
Why does he get a pass?
Does consequence culture only apply to dragging conservatives down?
I disagree the the comparisons were similar. Pedro Pascal was speaking out of children who were imprisoned in cages and where we had documented cases of abuse coming out. I do not believe that the situation at the border was equivalent to Nazi Germany but there were clear parallels. I work in immigration and we were literally instructed to use dehumanizing language to refer to immigrants on day 1.
Gina Carano implied that people being mad at conservatives for being racist was equivalent to German's selling out their Jewish neighbors to internment camps. No conservatives are being arrested unless they break laws.
Jewish advocacy groups were also making WWII comparisons to the situation at our southern border and speaking out, but are horrified by the Carano tweet. This is not a situation where the two cases are comparable simply because they both invoke Nazi Germany.
Nobody said they were exactly the same. But, I do recall a lot of criticism when people compared the ice detention centers to nazi camps.

+1 She's an idiot, and was apparently warned. Disney has a conduct clause in every contract, which she violated. Too bad, so sad.

When will people learn?
A "girl" she's 38 years old and an adult and presumably knew what she was saying. Please don't refer to her as a child, that's insulting

Disney kept on with her while she tweeted all kinds of crazy maga stuff. I'm positive she was informed almost exactly where the line was.
