It is less about fences and more about concrete (vs. grass vs. wood).

you just wish you had Rodney Dangerfield as your DD's coach

I'm sure they will get back to you shortly.
Thanks, I was seeking feedback on whether my concern was reasonable before doing that. Looks like most people thought it was not. I guess it still can't hurt to mention it to the rec department, and let them do what they think best from there.
Anonymous wrote:OP, are you the same OP of the tennis thread that complains about futsal being played on your tennis courts?
No. But I know who is, because he posted the same complaint on nextdoor using his own name.

OP here. I play tennis, and it is no problem for tennis because there is zero contact. I have both a girl and boy that play futsal (different ages), and have seen this happen to kids on one of their teams, as well as ASA's Pro Team at a game we went to at Ramsay. I don't have any space utilization concerns about the courts for tennis v. soccer, because I play at Arlington YMCA courts in the winter, rather than outside. But, even in non-COVID times, the Ramsay court is a futsal court, and has a chain link fence. It seems to me that the city should attach the fence to the court or take another similar precaution.

Wow, that's really sexist and gross.
. It's very funny. And he is made to be politically incorrect on the show and takes heat for it. His cluelessness about how it's not 1985 anymore and it's not okay to say this stuff is part of the charm of the show.

The sh*t I see these 2 boys do on their own together and with friends---playing futsal on tennis courts is the least of my concerns. I only just learned about the ramps and why both of our saucer sleds have huge holes in the bottom of them after last week. I came down to the 12-year old on a school break jumping from piece of furniture to piece of furniture because they weren't allowed to touch the ground.
I mean you can wrap them in bubble wrap if you want. Most studies indicate that kids that were over-parented and did not have free play jumping over rocks and taking risks get more injured as adults because they never achieved the body awareness in youth. There is a pretty fascinating German study on this. They basically started having kids over there play in junk yards and with matches...no joke.
I digress.

OP- make sure everyone is update to date on their tetanus shots and they'll be fine. I don't think it's likely they'll lose a leg.
OMGMy boys just finished 3 seasons of Cobra Kai. That has spurned some crazy sh*t between them. Strike first. Strike Hard. No Mercy. (and watch your back in my house).
