Subject: What to do to raise readers?
Ps one favorite of my kids was Swallows and Amazons , about kids having their own island adventures in the Lake District of England. We listened to it as a book on tape.

Subject: What to do to raise readers?
Keep reading to her daily. Pick books that would be too advanced for her but are interesting to her. Peruse home school read almond books for ideas. There are great books from the exploration era, eg Shackleton etc, lovely books written by Julie Andrews, Harry Potter, The Hobbitt etc.
