Hopefully, you can find the sweet spot of time that is old enough that you don't make her self-conscious about it too early, but young enough that it's before she may accidentally do a hack job on them. I managed to survive the 90s super skinny eyebrows, but my mom didn't teach me anything about brows before I tried to "shape" mine in jr high. Unfortunately, my understanding at that time regarding tweezing between the brows was to pluck all hairs that were vertical vs horizontal. *facepalm*

Waxing pulls and stretches the skin. Over time it’s not good for the face.

The thread about the lip hair made me concerned that I needed to proactively address it or I was a bad mom.

Nope. Not a bad mom. She’ll let you know if she wants to do something.

I think more natural brows are back in style, finally. Unless she has the unibrow going on, I would leave it. I don’t do anything to my brows and they look fine.

Plus most of us in our 30s-40s are regretting the over used tweezer action from the 90s.

THIS.

Preeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaach.

Whatever it was I did with the tweezers in the 8th grade bathroom I will forever be sorry. I would hide the tweezers if I were you.

Ehh mine grew back no problem. And I’m not very hairy- pretty British ancestry. You can’t blame the 90s or 00s. They grow back!

Thick bushy eyebrows are ugly. They might be in, but they look ugly. Over plucked thin eyebrows are ugly too, but not as ugly as thick, dark, bushy eyebrows.

You sound old and out of touch. Thick eyebrows are gorgeous.

My 13 YO approached me. I use wax strips on her every once in awhile, and tweeze when she asks.

This is my issue. Don’t want my DD doing it herself.

As for over plucking. I never did but still, I am in my 50s and they are disappearing. Starter in mid 40s. So you need to steer thinking about going a little thicker in your early 40s to
Compensate. It sucks. Actually thinking of a transplant 😂

I really want to do my 10 year old’s, but I’d never suggest it to him. If I had a girl, probably 11 or 12.

We switched to the Nad's eyebrow shaper wax kit during covid. It's working pretty well - we use the wax occasionally and just tweeze in between.

Pre covid, we went to a salon for waxing.
