Totally agree.

No they're not. The Wonder Years kids are doing well. Fred is a producer (and has acted), Danica got a degree in math and has written many math books and acts in Hallmark or Lifetime movies (they're all the same to me), and Josh is a lawyer married with two kids.

Michael J. Fox has Parkinsons but that's not because of anything he did - he's never been in any scandals. Justine and Jason Bateman have weathered the 80's nicely. Punky Brewster married a jewish guy and cranked out four kids and is best friends with Rebecca Gayheart (sp?) and is pretty wholesome.

Aside from the guy who played Mark, all the kids from Roseanne have turned out pretty well and stayed somewhat normal.
Cosby kids are also normal.

Lisa Bonet comes across as anything but normal.

What's abnormal about Bonet? She's divorced and remarried like half the people in America and I assume DCUM. You do not hear about her in the news. I am curious as to what makes her appear abnormal.

I don’t agree with Kirk Cameron on everything but being a deep man of faith and by all accounts good father and husband does not make him a messed up person. You may not be a devout Christian but he is and he should not be demonized for his faith.

He distributes free copies of an edited, crappy version of "On the Origin of Species" on college campuses that promotes Creationism.

He said that homosexuals are destructive to society.

He's a sh*tbag who hides behind religion to spew hateful tripe.

Sounds like he would fit right in with the Commanders in "Handmaiden"s Tale".

He always struck me as controlling, arrogant, and absolutely humorless for many years and for a long time he had dead eyes. I think this religiosity keeps something in check for him, what it is remains a mystery. Maybe a history of sexual or emotional trauma, maybe his rage, maybe some sadism, maybe it's his drug that wards off depression, I am not sure. But intuitively it strikes me that his faith is not of the healthy kind that helps a person cope and be hopeful. He seems joyless to me and not particularly open.

It doesn't shock me that, after being a child actor for years and still being young and impressionable as a teenager, he was drawn to a conservative religious movement. It probably seemed like a refuge from a lot of stuff that he was being exposed to and maybe not ready for. I wouldn't be surprised, given all the stuff coming out these days, if he was subjected to inappropriate advances as a boy or worse. Anyway, I don't like who he's become, but I think I can understand why that path seemed appealing to him at 17 or 18 or whatever.

The kid from that Charlie Sheen sitcom also became a Christian and quit. Nothing against religion, well maybe a little but Hollywood types don’t know how to play the middle. Either hedonism or religious cults.

He's close with the Duggars. They love his movie "Fireproof."

+1000. If people were mocking him for being agnostic, sh*t would hit the fan. Live and let live, people. People are allowed to believe differently than you do.
