Even with new strands of the virus?
No one cares, look around. There is a very small minority who will chose virtual. Everyone else is planning spring break vacations.
Didn’t something like 40% pick DL system wide??

1. How do the HS kids know which day of the week they will be in-person and do we know when they are going back?
2. Why are the kids being informed before the parents?
Anyone else experiencing this?

+1. People are out and about everywhere. Everything is crowded these days. Have you seen Tysons on a weekend? Vacations are being planned.

Its not FOMO, its basically concurrent is taking a massive dump on DL instruction. You know teachers will be focused on in-person students, helping them with technical issues, yelling about mask protocols etc; the good cadence that DL has built up is being tossed out so some loud parents can get childcare.
So? I am ok with that. And you should be ok with DL instruction since that's what you picked. If you are not, there are plenty of other virtual learning platforms you can select from and enroll your child in.
Concurrent does not equal DL. Concurrent does not equal hybrid. The Asst Supt for Instruction stated quite clearly in 2020 that it was an inappropriate model for students below high school age. It's also not a small minority. 40% across the county chose virtual last fall. That's a minority but not a small one. In the anecdote area, there's also plenty of parents saying they chose hybrid based on the promise of a metrics-based decision to reopen but who will not send their kids if the infection rates remain as high as they are.

Hey, double mask.
Yup - double mask and wear the face shield. Teachers will be vaccinated, no doubt the kids will return but possibly after spring break.
Yeah, that will happen![]()
No one is going to double mask or wear a face shield.
If teachers are vaccinated and still nervous, it's the best option as I understand.
