And, for what it’s worth, I like the name Jacob (and I love the name Jake).

I LOVE Summer.

Thank you!!!

Honey and Sunny?

Oh man, internalized misogyny check. Totally assume these twins were boys. Like the old joke about the boy rushed into surgery and the surgeon is his mom...

We got lucky. When she was 5 or 6 we realized that she was going to be special enough that she needs a special name.

What drivel is this??

Henry is one of my favorite nsmes. It's not very common now now.

I had three Henrys in my class three years ago and again last year. I’ve also had a year where I had three Sophias, all of whom had the same last initial!

Well, since we are in the US and not aristocratic Europe, those names are perfectly normal!

OP, I would not worry about the popularity-my oldest was named before internet/ssa name lists were around. His name turned out to be wildly popular, in fact in HS there was another with the same first AND last name (who, according to the phone calls I mistakenly got, had issues in school lol). Now as an adult in a job with people of all ages-the name is not popular and it's not an issue.

What’s so bad about gem names? What about Ruby or Pearl? Those are kind of considered old lady names aren’t they? I don’t think of them as trashy at all.

I have an Edison, and while I still do love it, it will forever scream the time period (I guess we’re still in it) of last names as first names. Even though the more common ones seem to be Lincoln, Jackson, Emerson, etc. it still seems a bit too trendy.

He also for some reason pronounces it a bit like Addison, which seems to confuse people.

But it does suit him. I can’t imagine him as any other name.

And he can go by Eddie later on if he prefers.
