Because by the time you hit U15, it’s not a serious program anymore. 7, 8 players at a practice. Half the team prioritizing other sports, activities. C.C.L. is a great environment for players of varying skills and abilities that do not have ambition to play beyond high school.

But if you are a girl and a soccer player, ECNL is the place to be and the GA not far behind it.

This is the same only poster that hates the CCL and keeps posting over and over his/her dislike of the CCL. That is why anonymous posting is useless.

It sounds like the only way to the next level in CCL is thru ID camps.

I would not be so quick to change, you are more likely to stand out as the best player on a subpar team. It is all about getting notice in-front of the right person.

Why would you want to leave CCL?

And for the record, CCL is a joke, a scam, and a shitty subpar league.

Fact Check:

Not True, CCL is a very good league. My Club is based in Virginia and we usually have 2-3 Division 1 signings per year. We also usually have a couple of Division 2 signing along with numerous Division 3. Just because a person had a bad experience does not mean the leagues is "shitty". Just sounds more like ignorance.

Thank you, not the PP but I’m glad you gave some evidence. This is the problem with CCL clubs. A couple girls might play Division 1.

What does DD need to do to draw attention from college coaches? We have the CCL Showcase this weekend I don't know trust the list since there are DI coaches included but I understand that DI coaches have a Dark Period.

Head over to McLean or BRYC. They have a great track record. Also, after covid- try the individual college ID camps.

We live closer to BRYC than Mclean; will try that. I saw the record isn’t impressive but I’m sure DD will help. Additionaly, ECNL just seems to be more serious of a venue. Our club does nothing to better the girls besides a basic practice and that’s it. Coaches are good, plenty of friends, but it’s more of a social gathering. One of the people running it even has a relative playing for a different club so why shouldn’t we?

Simply not true.

+1 you can change clubs mid season

No, that is false. It is against the rules to move clubs. Look it up.

LOL. What rules? Players can move if they want. Before you go, ask your DD what target schools she is considering. The schools will help inform if or where to move.

There's a whole thread dedicated to the ECNL rules. You can also see them on their website. An ECNL player cannot move mid-season to another ECNL club. Simple as that. From another league, that's fine. Don't fill this with trollish-FCV-style posts. Thanx

So authoritative. Actually players can move from ECNL club to ECNL club mid-season with the approval of the clubs on both sides. Rare, but it happens.

True. A player can absolutely move mid season. But, as pp said, if you are trying to make a move within a league (ECNL to ECNL) you will need a waiver. Otherwise, you are good.
Look for a club with a smaller roster. It will be easier to get a spot on that team. If you go with a club with 20+ on a team, your player will have to be VERY good to get a spot - and that will be hard coming from a CCL team, as the speed of play is slower in general.

You looked it up but didn't read it. You can change clubs as long as the leagues are different. Happens all the time literally every single year.
