June/July 7yo doing outdoor camps, 4yo TBD.

August buying tickets to visit grandparents (who got vaccinated this week) and rest of family on west coast. Don't know if we'll be vaccinated by then, but pretty sure we'll feel "safe enough"... anticipating that transmission levels will be at or below where they were this past summer, and everyone has more familiarity/comfort with proper mitigation protocols than last year.

Soon to be 8 yr old continues going school (private). Summer like last year will be half day outschool. Too hot in this area in summer for outdoor pretty much from mid June onwards. For our family I mean.

Yes, signed up 8 year old son for multiple weeks of camp. He did 6 weeks last summer of tennis and swim camp and there were no closures or quarantines from COVID. Anything outside is reasonably safe.

We'll do mainly outdoor camps. I am looking at 1/2 day camps to give my 7 year old something to do each day. But I still don't think I'd be comfortable with a full day indoor camp this summer. We'll see.

Agree that sleepaway camp is actually safer this year as they can form a bubble. I have signed mine up for 3 weeks of sleepaway camp.

We signed up and we have been super closed all year, no bubble, no in person school. But the reality is that the kids need some fun cause its gone on so long...I think the mitigations are good and am hopefully they can enjoy summer without getting covid.

We did a local day camp as soon as they opened last summer, so we will do the same this year. Our camp will offer refunds if they have to shut down due to a COVID outbreak or if the mayor closes camps. Last year they offered refunds up to the day camp started if parents decided they weren’t comfortable with camp given people signed up prior to COVID becoming a thing. But it doesn’t appear they will do that this year since people know what they are getting into if they decide to sign their kids up this year.

We are sending one to sleep away camp. The other will drop local days camps- assuming they run.
