Or you might be one of the 10 nominated by the head of education in your state (or the Deputy Mayor for Education in DC). Recall the year the outgoing DME in DC nominated a bunch of kids from a particular charter school -- she was on the Board.

It doesn’t require a perfect score. I know a student from DC who was nominated last year based on ACT score, and it was not a perfect score.

DC is applying to Ivies among others. So no need to report, then?
A PP noted that some on the list (with the asterisks) are there because they are nominated by their school for arts or technology prowess. Those are relatively new categories, and others could tell you whether they are prestigious or otherwise warrant an update to colleges kids have applied to. The bulk of the kids on the list are there because they have a perfect or near perfect single sitting score on the SAT or ACT. There is no nomination involved for the top scorers in the state—it’s just based on record keeping from the SAT and ACT administrators. That’s why I don’t think you need to send an update to a school that already knows your kid’s excellent score., though it can’t hurt. My DD was in this category for the HS class of 2017 and she and we decided it didn’t make sense to update colleges, though she did when she was announced to be a National Merit Scholar since you never know whether a school will want to advertise how many NMSFs/NMFs/NMFs it admitted.
Note that there is a process to become one of the handful of nominees from a given state to go from a Presidential scholar candidate to a Presidential scholar. Prospective Scholars must complete an application and results are announced after college acceptances. The prize is an all-expenses paid trip to Washington DC. I think most kids from here don’t do the paperwork because the potential reward is not so interesting for locals.

I don’t think it could hurt sending an update with that information. It’s a pretty big award IMHO. Best wishes for your DC.
But school already know applicant's SAT and ACT score, They also know it is from one time score or superscore. Why there is a need to report it to Ivies again?

But I know they Don't. As I saw name list for perfect SAT or ACT score during the school 2020 virtual graduation ceremony. However, when I checked 2020 PS list, they are names are not on the list. I know one girl personally. Her SAT is 1600 but her name is not on 2020 PS list.
Well, if she took it more than 3 times, it would not count. The only include your best single sitting score of your first three attempts. (And maybe she got her 1600 after the deadline)
