I generally agree with you, although I must say Trump's inauguration really depressed me. And my family depressed me. My mom kept saying now Trump is going to "pivot" and be more presidential. lol. So much for that. But it truly was a sad day to me. And I can't say that about the other elections I've lost. Didn't vote for either Bush. Didn't vote for Bill Clinton once. Nothing like what I felt when Trump was sworn in.

Hiding in the corner isn’t doing anything to challenge or filter his crazy. If you hide your views, all your kids see are his, which is worse than if you divorced and then expressed your views freely to your children.

PP here - I'm not OP. I didn't hide in the corner and I don't hide my opinions from the kids. I put it on the TV as mentioned in the original quoted post.

I could be married to a never Trumper/Mitt Romney/Jeff Flake type Republican. But not a trumper. No no no.
