We never needed anything other than the the Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster. My kids all used it starting at 6 months and then as they grew, we adapted it to booster. Best footprint ever, easy to bring along for car travel, etc.

This summer, we bought a $20 booster high chair at Walmart for travel and our baby prefers it to any other high chair she's sat in. So I would recommend it for its very small size and great functionality. It's called the Safety 1st Easy Care Swing Tray Booster. We've used it since the baby could sit up and she's now 15 months and still loves it, with room to grow.

For a "real" chair, I love our Bjorn high chair, and our older used it until age 3.5. He's skinny and tall, for what it's worth. The little one uses that one too, but as I said, prefers the Safety 1st one.

We also had the Ingelsina one that attaches to a table, which our oldest really liked. It goes up to 40 lbs if I recall correctly.

Agree that two highchairs will be unlikely. I get the nanny's point, it's much easier to keep them contained in a high chair and focused. But my kids were out of the high chair by 2.5 at the latest. My youngest was out of the high chair before 2 because she saw her sibling sitting in a chair.

Tripp trapp is great. My taller than average 7 year old still uses one.

I would get rid of the Joovy and get an IKEA. Loved how easy to clean it was.

My kids are 20 months apart and we only used one high chair. My older kid was in a booster by 18 months. My younger kid was not a fan of the high chair and was also in a booster by 13 months.

She’s a small (10%) 4 year old and hasn’t used a booster since the age of 2.5.
