I wish I had named DD Claudia, pronounced Cloud-ee-ya, since DH is Latino. I spent a summer in the south of France when I was in college and met a lovely Mexican American college student who was studying there.

It’s familiar, yet it was never trendy/over-used.

+2 I've also been interviewing for a job and my HR contact is named Claudia. She is 24 and grew up in Boston, so, not entirely stuck in the 80's, but also not overly common.

Claudia is a great name - it's like Veronica. It's known, but not used often.
