It's basically this. You need to exercise for health and fitness, but for most older women, the weight will only stay off if you eat less.
I should add not by means of crazy diets. Just eat smaller portions of healthy foods and cut out alcohol and treats as much as you can. If you start doing looney things and skipping meals, that's just stupid.
Yes this. I don’t cut out complete food groups. I indulge once in a while, but I also skip meals too. Once in a while I’ll do an all day fast. I weigh myself a couple times a week. My exercise during Covid (my gym shut down) is a hour a day walking most days of the week and a strength training 25 minute show on the tv a couple times a week.
I’m exercising less now because of my gym but my weight is consistent because of my eating.
