NP — OMG this. Be prepared. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. A colleague had this happen to him. Another however was able to have the cheating wife thrown out. I guess the deal was that he had to demonstrate he did not condone her behavior by not letting her in the house after he learned of the infidelity. You need a lawyer stat.


No, you can't kick the cheating, lying whore out of the house, but you must never share the same bed with her again. I'd put a deadbolt on the master bedroom, and she can sleep in the guest room.


I'd have a very hard time not throwing her and all of her sh*t out on the front lawn. She can go stay at the co-worker's place. Though--I'm sure he's running for the hills right now. Most men that cheat with married do that when their cover is blown.

You pull out your phone and when the cheater starts to say things to provoke and spread untruth, you say I am going to record this and you start recording.

Therapists will recommend you do this. Also, do not reply to texts or emails or create a trail that they will use against you.

Disagree. You can usually get a guilty cheater to give you a much better deal than 50/50. The adultery card should be played to your advantage in negotiations. If it gets to divorce court the judge is usually less favorable to the cheater, even if it’s not “official”.

OP, be careful. Cheaters are manipulators and liars by definition. Play your cards close to your chest and be prepared to expect them to do anything. Nothing is beneath them. Lying , manipulating and scamming is their life’s work. They can be quite convincing. Everything goes through your attorney.

In the middle of divorcing a cheater right now and this is sound advice. We have done in-house separation (which has sucked for me, but has been good for the kids) and agreed to split everything 50/50. In most states, divorce is simply a mathematical equation despite crappy behavior on behalf of one or both spouses. Good luck.

I think you need to see an attorney but you don't necessarily need to "lawyer up." Depending on where you live, the adultery may not even matter much.
