I just go on Buy Nothing. Always keep the theme a surprise, so it seems exciting, rather than highlighting that it’s a Paw Patrol party v. a PJ Masks party, or whatever.

Yes, we use washable dishes and utensils and bamboo and recycled products. I like those washable re-usable tablecloths. We usually use cloth and cloth napkins but I will check those out - thanks, PP!

Yes. And I was able to convince my son that it wasn't worth killing dolphins to give out the little plastic crap favors!

I also do not buy junk for party favors. I usually get 1-2 items and something useful, like sidewalk chalk or playdoh or art supplies.

Yes. I throw a lot of parties and can pull from my stash when needed. I have thrown a ton of showers, birthday parties and anniversaries. I bought some really nice tables and chairs and have seating for 30 off facebook marketplace.

I buy those polyester tablecloths like restaurants use. I have a black and a pink ones and one of those colors works for pretty much all my kid's parties. I wash them and reuse. I have quite a few of those paper lanterns in different colors. I hang them from my ceiling with tape. After the party, you just fold them down and reuse them again. I have white, black, pink and red, which seem to work for a bunch of different parties.

For favors I always do something parents would like or can be easily used/regifted- like nice books, water wow, nice coloring book, bubbles.

I have a set of 50 white corelle plates (inherited). They are so nice to eat off of at a party. No need for paper plates. I do serve paper napkins and paper cups for kids though. For adults I have mason jar drinks prepared (like mojitos or 1/2 lemonade 1/2 iced tea or something else on theme).

I’ve never given favors. It’s a gathering. We tend to keep it small.
