Ubbi was 30% off yesterday on amazon. I believe it was a one day deal so no longer available. And if it’s not an immediate need, you might want to wait another few months for another sale.

Poster two posts above you here. As you can see, ubbis smell eventually. The diaper genie is forever.

I don’t see an issue with having to bleach a diaper pail out once a year.

I’m team Ubbi.

Munchkin is what you need.

This is my post. I actually don’t think the pail smells. We have used a diaper genie too and I found it a pain to push in the diapers. I like the Ubbi.

I think the main problem is that it holds a ton of diapers so I ended up not changing the bag for a long time and it would smell horrible. There’s also nothing blocking or mitigating the smell when it’s open, so smells horrible any time it’s open. And it’s kind of a pain to slide totally closet when you have one have holding down a wiggly baby. The munchkin on the other hand doesn’t hold half as many diapers so you’re changing the bag constantly. But I find that the whole munchkin bag system works well.

I think this just means you need to change the bag.

The entire point of a diaper pail is that it contains the smell of many diapers.

I have an ubbi and I have a diaper genie. The diaper genie is 5.5 years old and the ubbi is about 3.5/4 years old. Both have been used to house the diapers of three children at three different developmental and food intake stages.

The ubbi is occasionally stinky and needs to be washed out with bleach/soap about once a year when it becomes really intolerably stinky.

The diaper genie has never, not once, had a lingering odor around it or required ANY additional cleaning beyond like, dusting.

So count me as someone FULLY on the team of 'annoying weird custom trashbags' and having to learn how to swap out the inserts.
