At Christmas time, I gave a gift bag to a family of items I bought at Whole Foods.

Bottle of sparkling white wine
Six-pack of craft beer
Bag of pistachios
Baguette
2 nice cheeses: Robiola and a nice blue
Cookies from the bakery
Lake Champlain chocolates
WF brand gummy stars
Box of Nizza La Colombe coffee


I put it all in Whole Foods thermal shopping bag. Got an effusive, rave call thanking me.

Our go to place is Nibbles and Bits (out of Dunmore, PA). They have all sorts of price points and deliver via UPS. they have great selections for everyone. I love supporting small businesses.

We got a 6-month subscription to Universal Yums. We’re having a lot of fun with the first one. Even the things everyone hates are kind of fun.

The Harry & David’s gift basket we received was overpriced and most of it was inedible (worst cookies ever, and I love sweets).

Some suggestions:

Smith Island cake and ice cream (google it; it’s a Maryland thing from Smith Island)

Honolulu Cookie Co. (I think that’s what it was called. Assorted pineapple shaped cookies in a variety of flavors from HI; great packaging). You can also order tropical flowers from HI; gorgeous!

Not food related but we got a poker set with cards, chips and a shuffler. It’s provided a lot of family fun.

Spoonful of Comfort. They send a huge thing of soup, bread and cookies. It was perfect. They have some yummy options.

12:43 again. To add, the worst we received was from Harry and David. It was overpriced and not tasty. Half was tossed and that says a lot. The teens usually eat anything.
