Even with private schools kids "get to go to school", they still cannot compete with MCPS kids.

Don't worry. Based on Gayles statement today, Kids should be back in person by Fall 2021. 1.5 years out of school won't be an issue.

Agree. Apex used to be a way to keep bright kids at WJ, instead of heading to Blair and RM. It was test in, along with grades and teacher recommendations. Now, open to any MS student with a 3.5 (which from NB was more than 75% of them).

They are all great schools. You won't go wrong with any of them. BCC may have a lower rating because it has a bigger population of lower socioeconomic families. The nice thing about BCC is that is has an IB program whereas the other schools you mentioned do not.

They’re all essentially the same. BCC slightly more diverse (than wj too). Find a house and neighborhood you like. There are tons.

Agree. Apex is not a real factor, like IB.

APEX is nothing nw. It's not like it was when my niece was at WJ. Basically any kid with a 3.75 coming from MS got in. At WJ anyone can take AP's Apex means nothing.

Whitman alum. No noticeable difference from the student perspective until you get into the minutiae of course offerings.
