Making a spread of appetizers and cocktails/mocktails. We will watch Anderson and Andy, and make a skillet brownie for dessert. Kids will play Roblox all night and enjoy the virtual countdowns on there. I really wanted to make a 2021 shaped pizza but we don’t really need that much food.

We’re having appetizers for dinner, and may play some games if we can rally the troops (kids are 9, 7, and 4.5). We’re going to watch the BBC NYE celebration since there’s no way in hell any of us is making it to midnight. After the kids go to bed, DH and I are playing games via videoconference with friends.

Family party for our 5 year old. Balloons, glow sticks, pizza on a crescent dough crust shaped like 2021. We have some whipping cream and I may whip that up in rainbow colors with sprinkles. We’ll stream fireworks from Europe/UK/Iceland before her bedtime.

DH and I may try to stay up for an episode of Queens Gambit, but will be sound asleep at midnight

Going out for Mexican - outdoor seating - has been a tradition we've had for a decade. We'll be able to do it because it's warm today and we can sit outside. Then home. Nothing different but nothing special. I'm so over this... I know nothing will magically change by tomorrow, but mentally it's good to turn the page and at least feel things are improving?
