Two kids, neither of them has ever watched an episode of Paw Patrol. Very proud of myself for that. Perhaps you can move your kid over to Bluey, which is much more tolerable and actually fun for parents to watch.

Random thing: My 4yo has trouble saying “Humdinger” and so she calls him “Mayor Hunter.” We find it hilarious, so we don’t correct her.

My DD outgrew PP around her 6th birthday and now watches PBS Kids.
When a huge percentage of these kids grow up to crave autocracy we can blame the PP and the Town of Adventure Bay's lazy overreliance on its mysterious benefactor on a hill, Ryder, and his team of pups.

You can try to steer towards some other stuff -- I greatly prefer the PBS kids shows, like Wild Kratts and Word World. The old Kratts brother show -- Zaboomafoo -- is awesome if you can find it anywhere. There's also an old PBS show (from about 2005) that was produced by Henson studios, I think, called Big Big World that is really incredible -- amazing puppetry and CGI with really sweet stories that are also educational and great songs, etc. If you can find that anywhere, it's really a treasure. My understanding is that it was incredibly expensive to produce because of the CGI and puppetry, so they only made a few seasons. But I think it and Zaboomafoo are two of the best preschool shows ever made.
+1 Zaboomafoo is still on PBS kids and it is fantastic. They always end with a reminder not to touch an animal w/o an adult’s permission, which is worth the screen time to me. Avoid season 3, episode 1. It’s about “ green creatures “, which is not helpful info. Literally the only problem I have with the show. Twenty episodes are available for free with prime right now.

My 4 year old girl loves Paw Patrol and honestly, it’s better than some of the other shows she could be into.
She also tends to like more stereotypically boy things too, like fire trucks, dinosaurs, etc. Not because we particularly pushed them, but just because it seems to be her personality.

I feel your pain. I found Paw Patrol the most unbearable stage. Also try out Octonauts- an awesome show.

My oldest daughter lost any independent interest in Paw Patrol around age 5. But now at 7, she still likes it enough to incorporate the PP toys and vehicles into her Lego and Barbie play scenarios at her 3 year old brother's request.

Mine is 7 and still into Pokémon. I just think once one of his friends is obsessed with Minecraft he will be too.
