That's literally not the case for everyone.
It is for the vast majority of people. And the possibility that it’s a problem for you shouldn’t stop you from giving the medication a try if you’re suffering from horrible nausea and vomiting when pregnant. It’s easy enough to stop taking it after a couple days if you discover it’s making you too constipated.

I'm the PP with HG x3; IME, Zofran was magic for stopping the puking, but not the nausea. Diclegis and dietary adjustments helped more with that. I only had Zofran with my first and I was still nauseated for most of it--Zofran plus Diclegis for pregnancies 2 and 3 was the real game-changer for feeling semi-functional.

I hate ginger candy, but in my first pregnancy it was the only thing that worked for me. I would just swallow it as fast as I could, as soon as it hit my stomach the nausea would pass.

OP here. OK I tried everything listed on this thread (including b6 by itself). Finally started the unisom and b6 last night. I STILL feel good 20 hours later. I can't believe how much better I feel, my mood is better and I was able to get more work done. I was reluctant to try it because it's a sleeping pill, but it's so good.

second the ginger and sour candy. I also drank Gatorade instead of water. Water was the worst. I found a peanut butter sandwich in the morning sat well on my stomach. Also, mashed potatoes and gravy (hello KFC!)...just a few bites for lunch when I was feeling nauseas seemed to do well. Good luck OP and hang in there!

Anything ginger. I carried ginger snacks with me at all times and also carried a small container of ginger in my purse - just smelling it would help immensely.
