The formula is this: Divide the man's age by 2 and add 10. So you're well within the range.

We have the exact same age difference. He has 2x the energy I do and passes for much younger. It works just fine for us but I would be lying if I said I didn’t have concerns about 20/30 years from now.

I have written replies that were harsh about certain types of age gap relationships. But I don't think the ultra patriarchal ones are more likely to lead to divorce. If the guy is wealthy and she is completely dependent and willing to serve - what is to break up? Especially if they are themselves thrilled with the "exchange." Seems like a lasting set up. Not an admirable one, but not unstable.

This. What happened with his first marriage? Was he a cheater? Was he verbally abusive?

You are not going to get a straight story from him. I would not have wanted a 50-year old divorced dad with 2 kids when I was 33 and single.

We have a large group of friends that were all married in our late 20s/early 30s. If one of us brought 'dad' out for a night to the bars/dancing--it would be weird.

I don’t think it’s creepy or anything but I wouldn’t like that big of an age gap, personally. I want to grow old *with* someone.
