Curzon Ct is a different community from the other two, btw. The Country Creek being praised in this thread is Masterworks, Scotch Haven, Village Spring, Motley, Sutton Oaks, and Kelly Square.

This is OP. We looked into West Springfield but were turned off that there is no real commercial area or center. We want a Main Street and it doesn't seem West Springfield has one. Is this incorrect?

+1 for the area just north of the metro and a little west is the Country Creek development. It is TEEMING with families and kids! The bus stop in the morning for elementary doubles as a social circles for moms and dads! Great area for kids and families to use the park. Fits your needs very well.

It’s got loads of character compared to other NOVA neighborhoods in OP’s criteria. A big reason is the adjoining park and the tons of trails running through the area. Clarendon is sterile, this area is definitely not.
You have no idea what you are talking about. I live in Clarendon. It’s not sterile. Parks, trails, neighborhoods and the variety of restaurants/shops are not sterile. Nice try!
