Sounds like your daycare isn’t taking good precautions.
That is so unfair. Studies show that in schools and daycare, it's not in-school transmission that is happening. It is some dumbass parents still taking their family to Disney or going to a family gathering, then not staying out of school/care for two weeks.

You need to have plan as if daycare could be closed at any time, any day. Yes, it’s terrible. No, it won’t be resolved any time soon.
Get the vaccine as soon as you can and encourage others to do the same - it’s the only way to shorten your purgatory.
We have the option for vaccination, the other families how are the uncertain variables. Great advice, looking for more of a schedule based personal viewpoint.
Thanks for not being an emotional unhinged person. This thread was for constructive creative options not to bash each other. Everyone is going through hard times but tearing each other down will no help anyone. Why are we not pulling together and providing helpful tips on what you found to work for your family which other may be eternally grateful for?
NP. If you want an unemotional, supportive thread, you might want to take the caps lock down instead of shouting in your title. You might want to be rational, thoughtful and reasonable yourself instead of blaming day cares which clearly can literally not operate normally and predictably during an abnormal and unpredictable time.
You trying to shout and irrationally blame and then backpedal and whine for reasonable and supportive responses is laughable. Do better.

They have rules they have to follow. Will depend on the clients/staff they have and how good they are at enforcing them. Maybe your daycare is overlooking things.
So you’re saying my daycare has tons of outbreaks that aren’t being reported? Yeah, not happening. Contact tracing is good in MD — they’d be picked up.
My previous comment was probably unfair — the daycare is probably being careful. The families are being idiotic.
NP. It's not that your comment was "probably" unfair. It's that it WAS 100% unfair and untrue. There are many studies that show it isn't transmission happening in schools or day cares, but rather families taking risks and making bad choices. You may retract your erroneous and baseless statement now. We'll wait.
... I did retract it, when I said “it was probably unfair.” I revised it and said the daycare was probably being careful and that the families are being idiotic.
It wasn't "probably" anything. It was definitely and certainly off-base and inaccurate. Demonstrably so. Are you a politician or a Real Housewife with that wishy-washy, no-responsibility taking "admission"? Are you the type to say "I'm sorry IF I hurt your feelings..."?
